A NEW support service for children who are struggling to cope with bereavement has been granted £9,900 from the Big Lottery Fund.
The Mary Dolly Foundation will now run activity based sessions for Greenwich youngsters aged seven to 16, which will help them manage with a death.
Senior coordinator at the Foundation, Marion Lakah, said: “We wouldn’t be able to run this project without the funding. It’s brilliant news and we’re very grateful.”
Another project to receive funding was the Charlton School on Charlton Park Road, which teaches children with special needs and was granted £10,000 to buy new equipment for its sensory rain forest.
Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme aims to help improve communities and the lives of people most in need.
