A CHARITY which provides audio books for people who cannot read in the usual way, is now offering a new download option.
London-based Listening Books, whose patron is actor Stephen Fry, offers everything from crime, classic and contemporary novels to history and travel books and also supports the national curriculum with set texts and study guides.
Schools as well as ordinary people can sign up and get direct access to thousands of books online or through the post.
Its new service Downloadable enables members to transfer audio books onto iPods and MP3 players so people can enjoy their books wherever they are.
The charity, founded in 1959 has more than 7,000 members. To find out more, go to listening-books.org.uk or call 020 7407 9417.
