KENT Police Authority is inviting members of the public to nominate a community hero who has made a difference in their area.
Last week, chair of the authority Ann Barnes launched the Safer Kent Awards 2010, which aims to celebrate those who have improved their community.
Those who can be nominated includes PCSOs, Community Wardens, Neighbourhood Watch organisers and young people who have been part of community projects.
Mrs Barnes said: “I would like to make a plea to the public to submit entries and take the time to say thank you and ensure people get the recognition they deserve.”
The closing date for nominations is July 1, and a panel of people from organisations around Kent will judge the entries before winners are announced at an awards ceremony in September.
