AN EXHIBITION of war art will be on display at an artillery museum.
Firepower - The Royal Artillery Museum in the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, is displaying the artwork in an exhibition called A Brush With The Guns on June 6.
Fifty drawings and paintings of artillery and guns as well as the servicemen who fire them and the factory workers who make them, will be on show.
The works span 200 years and are executed in pencil, watercolour and oil. They will appear on canvas and paper, and in sketchpads, diaries and notebooks.
Curator Mark Smith said: "War art can be thought-provoking, repulsive, magnificent, mundane and inspiring."
