STAFF at a Bexley hair salon have raised more than £1,300 to help servicemen and women injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Staff at Back2Front in Sherwood Park Avenue, Blackfen, and owner Julie Barnes dressed in camouflage gear as they sold raffle and tombola tickets and wristbands, badges and keyrings for the Help for Heroes charity.
Many of the prizes for the two-day event were donated by salon clients, staff and family and friends.
Help for Heroes was chosen as the salon’s charity for 2010, in memory of Ms Barnes’ father, a supporter of the charity, who died in February.
The salon holds charity days every year and has raised thousands of pounds for various charities.
