FIREWORKS have provided a local charity with £1,000 to spend on memorable days out for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Cherished Memories, based in Dartford, has been given the cash by Welling Round Table and The Boathouse Restaurant, based in Danson Park, Welling.
The money is part of the proceeds from the Round Table’s annual fireworks display in Danson Park, which is distributed among good causes.
Last year Adam Martyn, owner of the restaurant, hosted a VIP viewing of the display with a three-course meal, served on the rooftop of the boathouse.
Some of the children and their families were also invited to watch the display from the restaurant.
