TEACHING staff at up to 14 Bexley primary schools, have indicated they will be boycotting the national Standard Assessment Tests (Sats) due to be taken by 10 and 11-year-olds across England this week.
However, Bexley Council says it will not be clear until after the tests actually take place, whether or not the boycott, by members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT)and the National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT), has been successful.
It pointed out that, as it is a boycott by only some staff, it is possible other school staff who are not NUT or NAHT members may run the tests in English and maths.
Bexley has 53 primary schools.
