A SIDCUP charity shop has received a windfall of donations thanks to a Girl Guiding badge.
The members of 2nd Hurst Guides, who meet in St James the Great Church hall in Bladindon Drive, Bexley, are trying to achieve their Adventure 100 badge, undertaking a series of 10 challenges, each of which earn 10 points.
The badge is part of the centenary celebrations this year, of the Girl Guide movement.
To achieve one of the challenges, the 22 Hurst members came up with the idea of donating 100 pieces of clothing to charity.
All the clothes were given to The Charity Shop in Hatherley Road, Sidcup, which raises money for the Canterbury Oast Trust, a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities.
