A HOSPICE charity raised £20,000 through a sponsored walk.
More than 400 people joined staff from Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice along the area's green chain walk and Thames path on May 3.
Every person who took part in the walk was awarded a medal at the finish line.
Fundraising manager at the hospice, Howard King, said he was hugely grateful for the support the local community had given the charity.
He added: "The money raised will help to provide specialist care and support to over 1,300 people with life-limiting illnesses a year, as well as their families and carers."
