WE may not know who the Prime Minister is yet but Lewisham Council’s full election results have finally been announced - five days after the borough went to the polls.
The full list of councillors was delayed after a recount of the Grove Park ward. A spokesman for the council said the recount was needed because the results had been so close.
Two Conservatives were elected along with one Labour councillor in a ward previously held by three Tories.
Labour’s Suzannah Clarke got 2,312 votes while Christine Allison received 1,937 and David Britton polled 1,885.
Mr Britton beat Labour's Hilary Moore by just two votes.
The result leaves Labour with 39 seats, the Liberal Democrats with 12, the Tories with two and the Greens with just one.
