More than 400 people have helped raise £20,000 for Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice, a charity that provides high quality care to local people at the end of their lives.
The fundraisers took part in a sponsored walk along the Green Chain Walk and the Thames Path on Monday (3 May).
Every person that took part in the walk was awarded a medal at the finish line.
Howard King, Fundraising Manager at the Hospice, said the event was well supported by all sections of the community in Greenwich and Bexley and is grateful for everyone's support: "We expect to raise over £20,000 from sponsorship," said Howard. "The money raised will help to provide specialist care and support to over 1,300 people with life-limiting illnesses a year, as well as their families and carers."
