A Spring Fair will be held on Saturday 22 May between 12 noon and 4 pm at Bromley United Reformed Church, 20 Widmore Road to raise money for Bromley older people's charity CarePlus.
Admission costs 50p and includes a printed programme of events. Children, accompanied by adults, go free.
It all takes place in the Verrall Hall at Bromley United Reformed Church, with stalls and attractions for the kids including 'Spin the Wheel' and 'Name the Teddy', a tombola (for kids and adults alike) and a raffle for the grown-ups (with prizes donated from local businesses). There will also be a CarePlus information point where people can find out more about the charity, sign up to get involved or simply register their details to get help.
With homemade cakes & preserves, refreshments, books, pre-loved toys, bric-a-brac and plants for sale, the spring-themed fair should appeal to people of all ages.
Jayne Gorey, Volunteer Co-ordinator at CarePlus, said: "Our Spring Fair will give local people the opportunity to find out more about the great work we do, helping older people (65+) in the London Borough of Bromley, and there'll be plenty of fun too - with some great bargains to be had in the marketplace and some fun activities for the kids. It's also a great opportunity for us to raise some much-needed funds."
CarePlus is funded by donations, fundraising activity and from the goodwill of the local community. To get involved, get help or for further information about the Spring Fair please call Jayne Gorey on 07918 142 792 or email info@careplusbromley.org.uk .
