BORIS Johnson’s younger brother Jo has made watching the election count a family affair this morning (May 7).
The Conservative candidate for Orpington has brought his family, including his father, sister and one of his brothers to watch as the votes are counted.
But the most famous of his two brothers, Boris, has not yet been spotted at the count at Bromley’s Civic Centre.
It is not known whether the mayor of London will be present later to see Mr Johnson being declared the winner in Orpington.
This win was predicted earlier by his rival, the Liberal Democrat candidate David McBride.
Jo Johnson said: “I’m not taking anything for granted at this stage.
“I have had a great reception on the doorsteps and I hope very much that the people of Orpington endorse what we are trying to do.”
Voter turnout for the Orpington constituency was 72.2 per cent.
