TORY candidate Gareth Johnson is feeling confident about this year’s election.
During the Thatcher and Major years, Dartford was a Conservative seat, but at the 1997 General Election it was won by Labour.
However, Mr Johnson says this election is different and he believes the Tories might reclaim the seat.
The candidate said: “It is a very different atmosphere.
“People have really been taking in what we had to say this time around, whereas in the 2005 election they did not seem to listen.
"I feel a lot more confident this time.”
