A MUM and baby group in one of the most disadvantaged areas of Bexley is to use a grant to slash the price of its play sessions.
Howbury Tumblers is based in in the Howbury Centre in Slade Green Road, Slade Green, and offers fun activities for children up to the age of five and their parent or carer.
Open Monday to Friday from 9.15am until 2.45pm during term time, it offers arts and crafts, singing and dancing, cooking, and storytimes.
There is no need to book and it already offers the first session free.
Now, with a £2,000 grant from Bexley Council, the Tumblers, a registered charity, is able to slash the cost of the session for hard-pressed parents and carers, until the cash runs out.
The money means the daily rate of £3.50 will be cut to £2 and the cost for two or more children will drop from £5.50 to £3.50.
