A DAD is cycling 220 miles to raise cash for charities that help children like his three-year-old daughter.
David Platt, aged 42, of Old Road, Lee, will join 14 others at the end of the month in a 220 mile journey over three days around Lakes Geneva and Neuchatel in Switzerland.
The financial consultant’s daughter Amelie has Down’s Syndrome and proceeds from the ride will go to charities Down's South, Lewisham Opportunity Pre-School, and Portage.
In 2008, the group cycled from Blackheath to Brussels, raising £70,000 for Down's Syndrome charities.
Mr Platt said: “We’re not proper cyclists. We’re just normal people of varying fitness but we’ll just get on and do it.”
