ROTARY Clubs are getting behind Stroke Awareness Day by encouraging people to have their blood pressure taken for free.
Clubs in Crayford and Sidcup have teamed up with medical professionals and the Stroke Association, to help alert people if they have high blood pressure, which is the leading factor in causing strokes.
People are often unaware if they have high blood pressure as it rarely has any symptoms.
Sidcup Rotarians will be in Sidcup High Street on Saturday outside McDonald's with St John Ambulance and doctors and nurses who will be giving up their free time.
On the same day in Crayford, the Rotary Club will be in the Tower Retail Park, Crayford Road, from 10am to 4pm.
