ENVIRONMENTAL health experts are urging people not to feed pigeons because they are a health hazard.
Erith town centre and Bexleyheath Broadway's pedestrianised area have particular problems with large numbers of pigeons and Bexley Council is continually trying to limit their numbers.
Food scattered on the ground in public places not only encourages pigeons but also attracts mice and rats.
Bexley Council says it has received numerous complaints about pigeons and the mess they make.
