CULTURE vultures can expect an unusual sight at a museum, as a little piece of Coronation Street comes to Greenwich.
Visitors to the National Maritime Museum are used to seeing a selection of naval-related art.
But now they are also being treated a rather more unusual sight a portrait of departing Corrie veteran Mike Baldwin.
It shows Mike played by Johnny Briggs surrounded on his deathbed by his family.
It mirrors the famous portrait of dying Trafalgar hero Horatio Nelson, which is displayed at the museum.
A museum spokesman confirmed the 21st-century version which was featured on the cover of Radio Times magazine will be hung alongside the famous Trafalgar painting.
Coronation Street fans will next week see Mike Baldwin die from pneumonia, after a 30-year stint on the ITV soap.
