A MUM is waiting to hear if she has won a prize after finding a balloon which was released in Holland.
Carolyn Matthews, 44, was returning home from a shopping trip when she discovered the yellow balloon floating outside her house in Vale Road, Dartford.
The mother-of-two managed to translate the Dutch message attached to the balloon and discovered it had travelled from a small town near Rotterdam.
The office administrator said: "I am amazed to think it has come all this way.
"The card has an address on it of the person who released it and from what I can make out it is part of a competition. The balloon which travelled the furthest from where they were released will get a prize."
Mrs Matthews has now sent off the card to see if she can claim a prize.
