EAT well to stay well is the message behind an event being held today.
The Community Cafe Project Penge is holding the event to promote healthy eating for pensioners through cookery demonstrations, food tasting and by giving individual advice.
There will also be the chance to meet others and talk about memories of food, at the event in Kenilworth Halls, Penge Congregational Church, Penge High Street, Penge, between 11am and 2.30pm.
The community group's chairman Gill Wiscombe said: "Eating well and staying active are essential to feeling well and enjoying life to the full.
"We want to encourage older people to think about how they plan meals, shop and prepare food.
She added: "If people leave the event feeling motivated to take better care of themselves by eating a wide variety of good food, then we've succeeded."
