CANCER FILM: A Bromley Cancer User Group film, funded by Macmillan Cancer Relief, is being shown to doctors to help them realise how patients feel when they are told they have cancer. BEST OF BRITISH: Petts Wood will host a Best of British and Continental food market on Sunday. The event in Station Square has been organised by the Town Centre Unit at Bromley Council. The market will be in the parking bays between Heritage Chairs and Little India from 10am to 4pm.
CHIP PAN FIRE: A Beckenham fireman tackled a chip pan fire on the morning of March 23. Iain Crawford was told by a resident living opposite Beckenham Fire Station. Other firemen were not at the station, so Mr Crawford went into the flat and smothered the flames with wet clothing.
PLANS IN: Bromley Council's environmental services department has received an application for the conversion of the former police station in Widmore Road, Bromley, into five one-bedroom and six two-bedroom flats.
