THE council is running a course to try to prevent bikers dying on the roads.
Motorcyclists currently account for five per cent of traffic on Bromley's roads but more than 17 per cent of fatalities.
Bromley Council wants to cut the number of motorcyclists killed.
The course involves a morning improving road safety skills and an afternoon with an observer who watches the motorcyclist and offers tips to improve.
Road safety officer Angus Culverwell said: "Furthering skills is particularly important for vulnerable two-wheeled riders.
"Our courses concentrate on how a rider can identify potential hazards and take action to avoid them before they happen.
The course costs £26 and will be held on April 22, June 24 and September 2 at the Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley.
