THERE were bargains galore as families attended a charity's nearly-new sale.
The West Wickham and Hayes branch of the National Childbirth Trust held the event in Gates Green Road, West Wickham, to raise funds for its childbirth and parenting charity work.
The trust, which is run by parents for parents, has campaigned for the presence of partners at birth.
It also wants newborns to stay in the same room as their mothers.
More than £1,000 was raised after nearly 150 people attended the sale, snapping up children's clothes, toys, books, games, baby equipment and maternity wear.
Branch chairman Pippa Brook said: "It was a huge success. We had an enthusiastic response and there was lots of information for parents."
