A DISABLED pensioner is appealing for help in finding his two lost dogs.
Peter Mowe, 70, of Cray Close Crayford, turned to his Staffordshire bull terriers, Ellie and Buffy, for comfort after his partner of 37 years died from heart failure last Christmas.
But last week the two dogs escaped from the garden when the gate was left open by a postman.
Mr Mowe says he is devastated by the loss of the two bitches, which were both wearing collars and are micro-chipped.
He has reported the loss of Ellie, who is 14 and black and Buffy, her daughter, who is white with black markings, to both Bexley police and the borough's dog warden but this has not led to them being found.
After a report the two dogs had been seen tied up in Maiden Lane, Crayford, Mr Mowe went there but could not find them.
If anyone has seen the dogs or knows where they are, call 01322 556004.
