A SCOUT group has celebrated its 60th anniversary.
The 15th Sydenham Scout Group held a music evening at Our Lady and St Phillip Neri Church Hall, Sydenham Road, Sydenham.
The Scout group teaches 56 youngsters aged six to 15 life and social skills and provides opportunities to travel throughout Europe.
More than 100 people, some of which were former Scout members, joined in with the celebrations last Saturday.
The Crystal Palace Brass Band performed and there were speeches praising the work of the groups's founder Cliff Hart and Scout leader George Goodier who joined the group in September 1945.
Chairman Liam Curran said: "The success of the 15th Sydenham Scout Group rests on its spirit of adventure, the enthusiasm of its members and the commitment of its leaders and parents.
"We want to go for another 60 years."
