A GROUP of mums has raised £600 for Cancer Research by walking from the Cutty Sark in Greenwich to Abbey Wood.
They took six-and-a-half hours to complete the walk, calling in at 22 pubs with their collecting buckets.
The women know each other from their children's playgroup at the William Temple Church, Eynsham Drive, Abbey Wood.
It was organised by mum-of-two Jane Peach, 30, of Eynsham Drive, Abbey Wood, who has lost several family members to the disease.
She said: "My sister died in 1998 and my brother died in May last year. Then in November last year my husband lost his grandmother to cancer, so I decided to be a bit more proactive and raise money for research."
Mrs Peach is hopeful they will top £700.
