A RAPIST who attacked a schoolgirl at gunpoint and dragged another woman into his flat for sex has been jailed for 11 years.
Sheldon Stewart, aged 26, of Mountearl Gardens, Streat-ham, denied rape, sexual assault, kidnap, two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of possessing a firearm or imitation firearm and perverting the course of justice but was convicted by a jury at Inner London Crown Court.
A 15-year-old was picked up in a car in Valley Road, Streatham, on November 25 2004 by Stewart who told her he had cannabis.
At Stewart's home, then Peak Hill, Sydenham, they were joined by a scar-faced friend.
Prosecutor Helen McCormack said: "The second man produced something wrapped in plastic which she thought was a gun and held it to her head. Then both men raped her."
On December 20, a 21-year-old walking through Tulse Hill Estate was bundled into Stewart's car by two men who threatened her with a knife.
She was taken to the Peak Hill address where one man threatened to produce a gun and Stewart produced a knife, hit her several times and grabbed her phone but she managed to escape.
As Stewart was led away several distraught members of his family ran crying from the court.
Police are still looking for his accomplice.
