A RECORD-BREAKING gun club is going to try and smash its own achievement while raising money for charity.

Kent Gun Club members are attempting to break their own Guinness World Record for shooting the most number of clays in half a day.

They have already raised £6,500 for the Elise Bresnihan Stroke Appeal, which supports a 13-year-old who suffered a severe stroke, by shooting 4,608 clays in 12 hours.

However, on June 25, five club members aim to double their previous record by shooting 10,000 clays over 12 hours.

The club, based in School Lane, Horton Kirby, hopes to raise money at the event with attractions and stalls.

The money will be donated to Royal National Institute for the Blind and the Elise Bresnihan Stroke Appeal Fund.
