A SPRING flower show went ahead despite recent bad weather threatening many categories.
Meopham Garden Association, which has 60 members, holds two shows a year.
More than 20 people, who entered between 10 and 15 exhibits each, faced the judges at the show in Meopham Village Hall, Wrotham Road, Meopham.
Entries were in four categories of floral art, flowers, vegetables and cookery.
There was also a plant sale and a raffle and refreshments were available.
Committee member Elizabeth Thomas said the group was unsure what sort of flowers would be entered because of recent cold weather.
She said: "Because of the late spring we had fewer entries than usual.
"The daffodils were not out and it was a smaller show than usual but the standards were still very high."
