In partnership with GPs and Substance Misuse Services, five pilot pharmacies in Lewisham are providing comprehensive and groundbreaking services for people with drug misuse problems.
The year-long project has been funded by the Department of Health and the Safer Lewisham Partnership. Pharmacists will supervise those using opiate substitute medication and offer health promotion advice, provide a needle exchange service and advise the patient of services where they can access information and advice.
