CHEERFUL children sang songs and read books to mark St Patrick's Day.
Around 50 youngsters learned more about Irish culture during a themed party at Lewisham Library, Lewisham High Street.
The children read books by authors and showed their artistic side by mak- ing their own green and white Irish flags.
There was also the chance to join in renditions of some celtic tunes, including the Northern Irish favourite Danny Boy.
Librarian Liz Radford said: "We always try do something for St Patrick's Day.
"It is something the children really enjoy."
