I TOO was ripped off by a traffic warden who refused to see my parking permit clearly displayed inside my car on the dashboard when I was visiting my sister in Glanville Road, Bromley.
I ran to my car when I saw a traffic warden issuing me a ticket. I asked why, to which she said "the ticket was not clearly displayed".
Totally confused and realising I was fighting a losing battle, I turned away as she was now becoming verbally abusive and returned to my sister.
The appeals I made were a waste of time. I even sent in the original parking permit, which they say they never received.
To cut a long story short, three years later I ended up having to pay nearly £700 in costs, and received numerous visits from bailiffs, when at the end of the day I am a law-abiding citizen and was not breaking any law.
We must not let this continue, it surely is daylight robbery.
