LONGER HOURS: Landlord Carl Morfill has applied to extend the licence at the Five Bells pub, Church Road, Chelsfield. The pub is licensed to open from 10am to midnight Monday to Saturday and noon to 11.30pm on Sundays. It wants to open from 10am to 12.30am Sunday to Wednesday and 10am to 1.30am Thursday to Saturday including half an hour drinking up time each night. The licensing sub-committee will decide at tomorrow's meeting.
TAKEAWAY TIMES: Pizza Hut in Homesdale Road, Bromley, is applying to change its opening hours. It is currently allowed to open from noon to 11pm. The takeaway wants to open from 11am to 12.30am. The licensing sub-committee will decide Pizza Hut's application for late-night refreshments at tomorrow's meeting.
CAR FIRES: Firefighters were called to the M25 between junction three and four, after a car was set alight on Saturday at 6.40pm. They were called to Waldens Road, St Mary Cray at 7.25pm, and to Sandpiper Way, St Mary Cray, at 9.50pm after a car and a van were set alight.
NOT GUILTY PLEA: Glenn Ebrey, of Berryhill, Eltham, pleaded not guilty to being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit at Bromley Magistrates' Court on January 31. Mr Ebrey was released on unconditional bail to appear for trial on May 4.
