RELIGIOUS leaders and youngsters joined forces to honour victims of genocide and persecution.
A multi-faith service was held at Catford Synagogue, Crantock Road, Catford, to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Hundreds of schoolchildren also took part in an afternoon of dance, music and poetry at the Broadway Theatre, Catford.
The events were organised by Lewisham's Holocaust Working Party to honour victims of atrocities and genocide across the world.
Working party chairman Councillor Pauline Morrison said: "We view this day as an opportunity to unite communities against hatred and persecution."
