AN ELDERLY campaigner is calling on the Government to introduce a minister for older people.
Chairman of Deptford Action Group for the Elderly (DAGE) Harry Haward, 73, thinks pensioners need a minister solely responsible for looking after their needs.
He put his case to Frank Cooper, leader of the National Pensioners' Convention, who visited DAGE's offices in Deptford High Street last week.
Mr Haward also wants better healthcare for older people and told Mr Cooper of his concerns about MRSA.
Mr Haward said: "Mr Cooper listened to our concerns and has promised to put our case to the Government."
