A NIGHTCLUB and a newsagents could have licences to sell alcohol withdrawn after requests to have them reviewed.
Bromley Council's licensing committee will hear the cases against Delanos nightclub, East Street, Bromley, and The Times newsagents, Glebe Way, West Wickham, on March 8 and March 17.
Under the Licensing Act 2003, any person or group can ask for a licence to be reviewed.
In the case of Delanos, it was requested by police and in the case of The Times, it was trading standards.
They must show how the premises failed to satisfy any of four objectives set down by the act, which are prevention of harm to children, crime and disorder, ensuring public safety and prevention of nuisance.
If it can be proven they did not meet these standards, a licence can be revised or withdrawn.
Anyone interested in commenting on either review, should write to Environmental Health and Trading Standards, London Borough of Bromley, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH.
Alternatively, email licensing@bromley.gov.uk
