PARENTS doing the school run have received a bad report for their parking skills following a string of complaints.
Residents near Culverstone Green Primary School, Wrotham Road, Meopham, made the complaints to PC Helen Lamb after parents parked on footpaths while dropping off their children.
Neighbours were forced to walk around the cars and use the road to get to their houses.
PC Lamb decided to talk to the drivers with PC Steve Ridley from the north Kent traffic management section to make them aware of their parking offences.
PC Ridley said: "It's important parents appreciate their parking could have road safety implications for their children.
"Parking on pavements blocks people's view and could cause an accident."
More than 1,000 leaflets explaining illegal parking offences were handed out during the event.
