CHILDREN were given a taste of life at secondary school at a science workshop.
Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Mayplace Primary School, Woodside Road, Barnehurst, learned about how to view and stop sound waves.
The workshop was held as part of Bexley Council's transition scheme, which is designed to give younger children the opportunity to learn more about science with secondary school teachers.
Teachers from Bexleyheath Secondary School in Woolwich Road, were on hand with electric buzzers, circuits and other equipment to work with the pupils.
Mayplace Primary's science co-ordinator, Carly Cox, said: "It's a way of bringing science to life and preparing the children for the way the subject is taught in secondary school."
