WELLING United FC is the latest recruit to a programme encouraging youngsters to keep off the streets through football.
The club, in Park View Road, Welling, will be working with Bexley Council to put together a programme of activities for the Hadlow Road area of Sidcup and John Newton Court in Welling High Street.
It will also be organising a new football project based at the Royal Park ball court in Sidcup.
The semi-professional club, which plays in the National Conference South league, has already been helping with the borough's ball court leagues, organising a penalty shoot-out, free match tickets and talks from first-team players.
Club manager Graham Hobins said as the largest football club in the borough, it was very pleased to be involved in community projects such as this.
