A SCHOOL has ditched the turkey twizzlers and held a healthy eating week.
Partly influenced by the TV show Jamie's School Dinners, St Fidelis Catholic Primary School began its initiative in September last year.
Starting on January 23, the school in Bexley Road, Erith, hosted a Having a Healthy Attitude week, which included running and skipping activities during lunchtimes.
Youngsters were also given a talk by a nutritionist from Initial Catering, the firm which provides meals for the schools.
Headteacher Lindsay Wise said: "It is really important to go beyond the usual areas of the curriculumn and to give the children these life skills."
