OLD folks are enjoying the addition of new trees given to them free from the council.
The Hollies Residential Home, Darnley Road, Gravesend, was given three trees under Gravesham Council's IMPACT scheme.
The scheme allows residents to choose one of eight species of tree measuring five to six feet, complete with a supporting stake, tree tie and planting instructions.
The tree must be visible to passers-by.
Almost 70 trees were delivered this year across Gravesham.
Hollies residents helped choose where they wanted the trees located.
Owner Peter Rogers said: "They said it was a great idea."
He added: "It is nice for residents to watch them grow."
