EXAM results in Bexley are continuing to rise according to the recently-published secondary school league tables.
The percentage of pupils gaining five GCSE passes at grades A* to C rose from 56.7 in 2004 to 57.5 last year.
This compares with a national percentage of 57.1 last year and 53.7 in 2004.
The number of Bexley pupils staying on to finish A levels was also higher than last year.
Councillor Trevor Perrin, cabinet member for education and lifelong learning, said: "I am pleased we are maintaining our upward trend. This demonstrates the increased level of performance by our hard-working Bexley pupils, with support from their teachers and parents."
