A SCHOOL has celebrated Chinese New Year by laying on a lavish spread of traditional lion and dragon dancing and calligraphy lessons.
Members of the Step Out Arts education dance troupe, in Plumstead, performed for students at St Paulinus CE Primary School, Iron Mill Lane, Crayford.
The children also learned about Chinese art and design legends and stories during the celebrations on January 26.
Headteacher Marilyn Davey said: "The event is to make the children more multicultural.
"Last year we held our own Chinese dragon dances but this year we thought we would get the professionals in."
