PARK users are being encouraged to get more involved in protecting their favourite open spaces.
Greenwich residents can sign up to a number of newly-established groups representing parks and open spaces across the borough.
The Friends groups are being introduced for places such as Abbey Wood Park; Hornfair Park, Charlton, and Sutcliffe Park, Kidbrooke.
The groups will work with the council on initiatives designed to improve parks and open spaces.
Residents can sign up to their nearest Friends group by attending one of a host of meetings across the borough in the next month.
For more details on the meetings, call 020 8856 2232.
