A BAR being built on a restored Grade II Listed pier is almost complete and will open to the public this month.
Q Breweries will hold an official VIP opening for the bar, called Riva, on Gravesend Town Pier on February 9.
The public will be able to visit the bar from February 10.
The building of Riva followed the £1.67m restoration of the pier, which was completed in 2002.
The project was funded by grants from English Heritage, English Partnerships, the Heritage Lottery Fund via the Conservation Area Partnerships Scheme grant programme, Kent County Council and The Manifold Trust, which provides funding for social causes.
Gravesham Council, which bought the pier, funded £830,000 of the cost.
Q Breweries is currently building an Italian restaurant at the end of the pier, also called Riva, which will open in early summer.
