A MEETING is being held to look at whether Gravesend should get extra parking spaces.
Gravesham Council has arranged an extra meeting of its overview scrutiny committee to consider town centre parking arrangements.
The meeting will consider a report by the head of planning and regeneration services.
It suggests parking spaces should be built on the former swimming pool site at Ordance Road for a short period.
It also proposes public consultations should be held to establish whether there is support for the proposal.
Residents could also be asked if they would support the area becoming a long-term car park.
The former swimming pool site is part of the Riverside Leisure Area an area of historical significance.
The meeting will be held tomorrow at 7.30pm at the Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend.
