BEXLEYHEATH & CRAYFORD WATERSIDE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
Unfortunately the speaker for our January meeting had to cancel at the last minute due to family problems, but the Beetle Drive we organised at short notice was thoroughly enjoyed by all and enabled us to move around and get to know more people, in fact, we would have liked to carry on a bit longer. However, we had a lot of business news on which to catch up as it was the beginning of the new year.
We were given information about the forthcoming annual district activities meeting, our next two ten pin bowling sessions, our quiz evening, the new proposed extra country market, some craft events, the annual WI council meeting at Tunbridge Wells, a suggested coach visit to Hampton Court Flower Show. There were also mention of our successes at the district carol service we hosted, thanks being given to our president and all who helped. There were also two suggested trips for the future and news of our new free magazine to be given to all members.
We meet on the fourth Monday of each month at the district Scouts Headquarters in Mayplace Road West, Bexleyheath, which is easily accessible by public transport and also has a car park. Meetings starts at 7.45pm promptly. Contact 01322 408749 for further details.
