BOSSES at one of the borough's leading conference centres say business will continue for another year despite planning approval to convert it into homes.
Sundridge Conference Centre, Plaistow Lane, Bromley, has permission to build 71 homes on the site.
News Shopper has reported concerns of staff who wanted to know when the centre's owner, Cathedral Group, would begin work so they could plan for the future. They were worried because a timeline submitted to the council suggested work could start next January.
Cathedral Group says this is an unconfirmed date which it was required to submit as part of the planning process.
A spokesman added: "We are committed to operating Sundridge Park until March 2007 and have installed a new fire system and refurbished the leisure club. Should our plans change, our team will be the first to know."
