THE borough's service for families with young children with special needs has been nominated for a second award.
The Early Support Service based at the Phoenix Children's Resource Centre, Mason's Hill, Bromley, works with children at the centre's pre-school, at home and in other pre-schools.
It brings together more than 130 services to support families of 380 children under five years old.
The service won a prize at the Government's SureStart Partners in Excellence Awards last December.
It has now been shortlisted in the children's services category of the Local Government Chronicle Awards and winners will be announced on March 13.
Helen Norris, who leads the service, said: "We have an amazing team working together here in partnership with our families and their children.
"Reaching the awards finals is testimony to the work they do every day on their behalf."
